What InstructorPilot is — and what it is not.
Scope
- • A civilian flight-training organization tool for instructors and students.
- • A scheduling, briefing, grading, and remediation workspace.
- • A record of training and self-assessment.
Not in scope
- • A source of aircraft-specific procedures, speeds, or limits.
- • A substitute for the POH/AFM or the responsible instructor's authority.
- • A military training, qualification, or credit-granting platform.
- • A weather, NOTAM, dispatch, or flight-planning service.
- • A tactics, formation, low-level, aerobatic, or weapons training tool.
Pilot-in-command responsibility
The pilot in command remains responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft under 14 CFR §91.3. Nothing displayed in InstructorPilot relieves the PIC of that responsibility, and nothing in the platform overrides the responsible instructor's authority.
