The Mission Loop

Plan. Brief. Fly. Grade. Replan.

The operating loop is the same on day one and on the check ride. The product's job is to keep that loop tight, honest, and traceable.

  1. STEP 01

    Plan

    Backward-plan from the student's target date, remaining ACS items, MIF requirements, syllabus prerequisites, instructor availability, and aircraft availability.

  2. STEP 02

    Brief

    Assign chair-flying, CTS items, MIF references, EP of the day, SSRs, and pre-sortie self-assessment. Preparation is graded.

  3. STEP 03

    Fly

    Execute the instructor-approved sortie profile with explicit primary and secondary objectives, route, practice area, and risk mitigations.

  4. STEP 04

    Grade

    Score every maneuver against the required MIF grade. Document busts with root cause — task saturated, knowledge gap, procedural drift, or attention.

  5. STEP 05

    Replan

    Convert the debrief into remediation, additional training, and the Next Best Sortie. The Ops Board updates immediately.
